Satao

Satao, one of Kenya's largest elephants and one of the last remaining 'great tuskers' with tusks that almost touch the ground, was shot by poachers with poisoned arrows. How sad that he was killed for his tusks, just so people can have some ivory trinkets. Shame on the people who buy ivory items.

The Truth Behind Crab Meat

The way fishermen catch the crabs is cruel. Often the crabs get injured when they are caught. Some fishermen set traps in the water or drag nets across the sea beaches, ocean floors and river banks. Often other animals get caught in the traps or nets. The crabs often get injured due to rough handling. As crabs are territorial they may start fighting each other. In some places people carry the crabs in thin polythene bags. As the crabs can escape from the polythene bags the sellers break off their legs. Many people cook them alive. This is very painful for the crab.
